Go to the top of the screen (on the blue bar) where it says (FRIENDS) . . . Then go to all friends and look for the person you want to 'unfriend' and then press the X that should apper next to them :)

If you've already accepted the friend request, go to their profile and on the left hand side, at the bottom, there should be a remove friend link. Click it and confirm. Done. (For Facebook as of Jan 3rd,2010)
