my acer aspire 5520 heatsink warped?

the heatsync that goes from the processor across the gpu to the fan has warped where its a small distance from the top of the gup processor and is causeing iit to heat all the way up to around 115C and riseing when running youtube under HD untill the safety system shuts the laptop off... i origonally thought that the gpu sensor was messed up untill i looked so... how do i fix this? do i need to try to hammer it down or what? im scared to remove the heatsynce from the processor becouse its a laptop so what do i do?

    Huh. A warped heatsink. Never heard of that. If you sill have a warranty, the best thing for you to do is to take it back. Otherwise, ring up Acer and ask for a replacement part for you notebook. Worst case scenario, remove the heatsink and try to flatten it. Don't try to flatten it on the CPU.
