Have you ever received "Best Answer" from a question you answered a YEAR AGO?
I have gotten a couple of them. I find it strange that you could keep a question open that long. Apparently you can.
Ohhhhhh I see, It went into voting. That makes sence. Thanks everybody.!
Cool Camille ! What a great idea. muahaa haa haa. (( huggs))

The question goes to voting after 3 days or 7 days. In your case 2 of 3 things happened:
-Nobody voted for 'No Best Answer' and/or then..
--Nobody voted for any answers until recently.
--There was a tie and no votes until recently.

Yes it can happen. But you don't get the points if the community votes for that answer.
But you need to go look at all your answers on your profile and vote for them so you can get he points. and then ask your contacts to vote as well.
I just got like 1200 points from old questions not counted.

Dude, I just got one from two years ago. How is that even possible? I mean, people actually go back that far into the archives? For WHAT?
It's really weird.

They don't remain open, they go into voting and they stay in voting until at least one person votes.
