Sweetie, all I can say is that you are not alone. Many people are afflicted with his type of mental disorder and you are not to blame for him abusing you. It's always a good idea to get some counselling after this sort of relationship because it has harmed you in many ways. There is no shame in asking for help.

Please do not blame yourself in any way and you should know that you are not a failure. Many women feel that they have been a failure because they made a choice to be with a man who does this. You did not do this. his illness did this.
