i have windows 7 & xp both installed on drives C & D respectively...i need to restart the machine every time i wish to switch to XP from Windows 7 or veceversa.plz let me have the solution tht i can switch without restarting the pc...

You're running 7 and XP in a scenario called Dual Boot, which by definition requires you to restart each time you switch OS. To run two versions of Windows simultaneously, you'll need to use Windows Virtual PC, or something similar: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/

my oppinion..u find a software of OS switching (i 4get the name)..from there u can easily change ur os..but in the process it still restart just u cant see the restarting cuz the software interface cover it..
