Why is there Global Warming on Mars?

The carbon dioxide polar ice caps on Mars are melting (National Geographic online). Will Al (I like cutting down rain forests) Gore blame humankind for this as well? Will we need a Martian Cap and Trade Scam (I mean scheme) or carbon taxes paid the the UN (Useless Nations) to stop this travesty?

Update:

Baccheus, my tongue in cheek question was making the sublte point that there can be natural causes that are responsible for 'warming'

Because Martians are driving gas guzzling Humvees, and grilling their burgers with charcoal

Obviously if it is currently warming on Mars then the sun does not matter much. The sun is in a minimum. You did not post a link that to anybody who actually believes that Mars warmed in 2009 or 2010, so I suspect you pulled some uneducated and/or dated garbage off some political blog without realizing the you are espousing a belief that changes in the sun do not affect warming of the planets, and that therefore the warming must be due to something else.

You know, instead of using other planets as a proxy, why don't we just look at the sun instead, since that is what you are hinting at as the real cause.

Turns out we have for decades. It is not increasing its output of energy, so it is not the sun.

Mars is an entire planet with its own weather patterns. What happens there could easily have no bearing on the planet Earth.

Dust storms - - - - OK the surface is already deep red. Also, dust would tend to block sunlight - that was the manbearpig believers' explanation for the 1940s-1970s cooling here on Earth. Lastly, dust storms suddenly occurring for what reason? Wind. What would cause that? Rising warm air being replaced by cool air rushing in, is what causes wind. I.e., "dust storms" even if they are increasing don't disprove solar warming, but rather indicate it.

    Sorry Bob.

NASA says because dust storms are darkening the surface. Most of the planets aren't warming, just a few, so it surely isn't the Sun. More here:
