Headed back to Vegas (9th trip) with a bunch of friends 29-33 crowd. What is the most hip hotel to be at now?
Hey, I've done the Vegas scene many times in the past. I have stayed at Harrah's, Bally's, Hilton, Paris Paris and the Luxor.
What is the most hip / cool club for 28-32 age crowd of guys? If I had to guess I would say either the Palms or Hard Rock? I have been to the night clubs in Hard Rock and Mandalay Bay, both nice hotel scenes.
Next where is the best place to find great rates? The individual hotel website? 3rd party web-site?
And last what night clubs are the best for the price?

Hardrock and Palms are fine but they are off-strip. If you want to stay where the action is I suggest Planet Hollywood, MGM Grand or Mandalay Bay. MGM and Mandalay are very nice IMO because of their great pool areas. Regarding the price: Book at the individual hotel website in order to get the best price. In addition you can use a promotion code from http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com/ - this will lower your room price again.

We got a suite at Planet Hollywood (formerly the Aladdin). Great location right across from City Center and next to Paris and Bellagio. Very young and hip crowd at this casino, and they have a Hawaiian Tropic Zone.
Palms and Hard Rock are nice but both are off the strip. Rehab will prob. be closed for a few more months. Palms is close to Rio but not much else.
TI next to Mirage was a fun place too for a big group.

Of those on your list, I'd choose Planet Hollywood or Treasure Island, primarily for their locations. Stratosphere is an okay place, but has a horrible location - not near anything, and in an area that gets seedy at night. Tropicana is okay - the location is decent and it was recently remodeled. Main Street and Hilton aren't on the strip. Planet Hollywood is a great party hotel, and has a pretty good south-central location on the strip. You'd be an easy walk to many other resorts, with a lot of other dining and entertainment options. Treasure Island has a fun pirate theme and also tends to attract a lot of young people. It has a good north-central location on the strip, very near some of the bigger clubs on the strip.

Without a doubt the Palms would be the place for you. You are in the exact crowd they cater to. Their clubs are the best for your age group. Go to this site and can get hotel rates and also there is a link for free club VIP passes. Great place to start.

Palms or Hard Rock if your staying off the strip.. On the strip i would say Planet Hollywood, Mandalay Bay.

The all suites tower in the Hard Rock Hotel just opened last week. Pretty nice place .

Aria, Vdara are newest inside CityCenter, along with four new clubs/lounges. With being there eight times, you should know that the hotel webpage will give you the best promotions and deals.
