Should a life sentence mean life?

it seems that they only serve so many years or get out on health grounds. if society deems a LIFE sentence is appropriate, should it mean life?

    It should be Life and then some, but, after a certain point, it cost way to much money, to medically keep them in jail.

    What is the point of the court giving someone 3 consecutive life sentences!

    Yes I think it should mean life. I don't understand it when some prisoners get released after just 15 years when they have committed such awful crimes. The lives of the victims' families are permanently devastated so why not lock them up until they die?

    Yes! otherwise it should be called something else. Why call it a 'life sentence' if its not for the duration of the persons life.

    If someone is given a life sentence it should be for the whole of thier natural life with no parol,

    Life should mean life.......the victims families usually 'serve life'.
