kids' movie from early 80's, monsters in a graveyard?

I saw about half of this movie years ago, before there was an "info" button on the remote, so I am not sure when it was made, or the names of any of the actors.

It took place in the current time, late 70's or early 80's. The main character was a boy, age 12-14. There was a cemetery near his home, and monsters / demons lived there. There were good monsters and bad monsters, and something about sunset. I think none of the monsters could come out during the day? Maybe only the bad monster couldn't come out during the day? The boy had to help the good monsters defeat or banish the bad monsters.

I've already watched Monster Squad and Portal, those are not the movie I am thinking of.

Update:

no, I don't think it was Phantasm. It was more of a PG movie (maybe PG-13) but the monsters were not zombies. They were always that way, and the kids were not going to be turned into monsters. Good try though!

    Is it this movie?

    Phantasm (1979)

"Often considered one of the icons of 1970s independent horror cinema, director Don Coscarelli's classic nail-biter follows two boys who, in pursuit of an odd-looking grave robber, may wind up as the newest members of a freshly dead slave race. Jody and Mike discover that the creature stealing cadavers walks the earth but lives in the afterworld -- and that it needs more corpses.
