Isn't Dick Cheny the least Patriotic person on the planet?

I truly think the definition of "Patriotic" has become distorted over the last several years. It was used to shame those who didn't agree with the actions of government and in fact was used as a label to create an act in which government gave themselves the right to monitor anyone they believed was a "terriorist" by a broad definition.

Patriotism is a true love of and/or devotion to one's country without a underlying self serving issue behind it.

If that were the case you would have to throw in the current president, his Secretary of state and half of the representatives in congress. Why is blindly following behind the president in everything he does patriotic? I never agreed with half of the presidents in the last 45 years but am I not patriotic?
