Why did Americans excel during the Industrial Revolution, when?

Because we used the tried and true principles that made for a vibrant economy. Forestry, mining, manufacturing and agriculture. Far left environmentalist have all but eliminated three of them.

Because Central, South America, and Africa, where prayed upon by imperialism from the U.S. and Europe. Europe and the U.S. have capitalized on the wealth of others.

Because we made stuff....now everything is going overseas. We should start boycotting companies who outsource.

Do you remember when Kathy Lee Gifford had her clothing line boycotted because of the slave-like conditions in whatever 3rd world country she was having them made at.

Isn't that practically what outsourcing is...companies dont have to follow American laws, pay American prices for labor....we lose jobs at home, we pay cheaper prices for the goods by exploiting workers for other countries.

Wouldn't you rather have everything made here?? We would pay more, find more efficient means of production, and it would be better for this country because it would provide jobs for what you buy...not give 5 cents to some Asian who worked all day for it.

Well, perhaps they were much smarter than us. They lived in harmony with nature and their environments 1000's of years before us. We polluted the planet, caused extinction of many species, developed and used nukes, started 100's of Military Interventions all around the globe, etc..etc, in just 200 years.

Are we really civilized?

Because our society developed from the British, who were superior to most other countries at the time, who also prevented development in Africa by enslaving them.

Because we had FREEDOM! We were not taxed up the butt, and people worked for a living, rather than rely on handouts! People had more pride in themselves and would work several jobs rather than stand in a soup line.
