How do I get my phone texts to stop displaying them as year 2016?

I have an HTC Mogul with Sprint. I believe that since New Year (The new decade) it makes all of my texts that I receive dated the year 2016 instead of 2010. This is annoying because my messaging is displayed in order of new to old. I've checked the date and time of the phone settings and they are set to 2010. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this?

Yes, I definitely checked the date, as every text i send shows up as 2010

    I am having the same problem as well. I have a palm pro with Sprint as the carrier. I have been trying to fix the problem for days to no avail. I called sprint and even they couldn't help me........... I am so frustrated. There is a quick fix to the problem but it is only a .cab file that you can download to "go around" the problem. But nothing has been officially released to solve the problem. Trust me!!! I am waiting on the official fix!
