Does anybody know what the ads are called at the bottom of TV screen when you're trying to watch a program?
I'm talking about the small ads that appear at the bottom of the TV screen that usually advertise another TV show. These things drive me nuts! Every time I'm watching something, this stupid ad blocks out part of the TV screen & I can't see what is going on half the time. Anybody know what they call this & why the networks do this? If they want to advertise, then show those during a commercial, not during a TV program & they block the screen of what you're trying to watch!

I don't know what they are called, other than "annoying." I totally agree with you - sometimes they block out the opening credits of the program - I like to see the names of the stars in a show. Sometimes they block out subtitles, which really ticks me off, because then i have no idea what is being said.
