Has the workplace shooting in St. Louis made national news?

This morning, with a big snowstorm overnight, all of the local stations were on and did not switch to "Today", etc. At 6:30 this morning, an employee of a company in north St. Louis walked in and shot at least 3 fellow employees or supervisors and a large number of employees are hiding in the building or huddled on the roof in temperature in the teens and wind chills probably below zero. It is not known if the suspect has escaped or is also hiding in the building. People inside the building who were hiding were calling the police and others on their cell phones, they knew who the shooter is but not where he went.

The focus on the local news has switched from the snow and weather to this shooting, but I just wondered if it made national news, yet.

Update:

The name of the company is ABB, not related to AB or Anheuser Busch Brewery.

Update 2:

Like Philly, we have a lot of shootings, drug related or domestic quarrels gone bad, but a workplace shooting is different.

Update 3:

The latest reports noon central time are there are 8 shot, 3 died and possibly one of them was the shooter, but it has not been confirmed. The police SWAT teams are apparently still going through the large building to see if there are any more victims,

Its on my head line news page, im from the Cincinnati,Ohio area.

It is terrible and I hope the shooter didn't kill the people he shot, I hope they can recover.

I just cannot understand these crazy acts from all of these people!

There is no job,no amount of money, no home, no status on this earth that is worth someones life. I just do not get it.

Usually these people end up killed or killing themselves when its all over so it is hard to ever really get a clear understanding about these situations.

If the law could catch them and not kill them maybe they could dissect their brains and find out what if anything all of this type of shooters have in common.

I see the obvious: the bad economy, people losing jobs, losing homes, yeah I get it! But that is happening to many, many people ! We ALL don't go around shooting up our co-workers !

Source(s): United States yep...and Im sad to say i keep reading the head lines on this and it is not getting anything but worse. So sad, very, very sorry for the loss to all involved...and sorry just seems so trivial of a word..but I really mean it...sympathies.

Ha ha! I heard that tale. It's fairly hilarious. I believe sorry for the band, despite the fact that. They are well. I do not consider the pigeons cared, they only checked out them and made up our minds "Hey, those men do not appear like they have got showered but," and crapped correct on them.

Nothing here in Richmond, VA and I have been watching. Times are tough enough but attacks like this make it worse. The terrorists abroad are probably thinking they can count on us to attack and terrify each other without them.
