Why do some women accept this ?(mainly for some of my Black Women?
Explain why this goes on alot in today's society
Ok first of all, I love black women. I'll say it again I love black women. I'll say it one more time I LOVE BLACK WOMEN. There are some things about my race that i just don't understand. Lets start with black women first shall we. Why do some (not all. Did you see the "some"? Are you sure? because if you didn't I'll write it again for you) Some black women choose these low life, scumbag, sorry, poor excuse for a black man, then end up getting pregnant by them. Meanwhile the decent, respectable, hard working brother is overlooked or not even acknowledged by "some" of these black women because, he's lame, corny, ain't got no game, all he does is study, he's got good credit blah blah blah. Then when they choose the other black man, who obviously has only one interest in them which is sex, they get mad and FINALLY realize he's no good. But I say about two months later they still go for the same type of man once again. So they spend their entire 20's chasing losers then by the time they reach their 30's they finally wake up and mature, but then they want to say and I quote "****@s aint ****". How can they hold an entire race of men accountable for the few SOB's that they chose, and the ****** up decisions that they made?
Black Men, why in the hell do you go for the sleazy, nasty, jobless, ignorant black women. From the first moment you meet her you dont know anything about her except she's got a fat a$$. We all know the first attraction is always a physical one, but once you do get to know her and you start to realize that she has no ambitions, no goals, doesn't want to do anything, you keep her around because she can ****. Quit playing into these stereotypes that they make up for black men. Take those got damn skinny jeans off, get a real haircut (instead of that mohawk), take the gold out of your mouth, pull your pants up, stop listening to these corny *** rappers, and make something better of yourself. There is nothing wrong with being a professional basketball, or football player, but there are many other careers to pursue that takes an entirely different kind of talent.
No I am not a troll. I am a black man who see's these problems going on in his community and yes I am saying most of these things off of my own expereince, and some of the things i have seen lately.............wait a minute do you hear that? Here comes the race brigade. Let me get my shield up there about to start throwing all kinds of crap at my question
User: Because black men and women combined have the IQ of a see saw
User: OH YEAH CHICKEN AND WATERMELON!!
User; Because guns don't kill people, black mother ******* with guns kill people.
Just some of the ignorance i have seen on this site. But seriously Why?

Probably because they know it's not necessarily the black person themselves. They realize a lot of that scumbag behavior such as crime, incarceration, failure to provide for their families, etc., is brought on by poverty—poverty stemming from how blacks were viciously prohibited from all things good by Whites 35 years ago; not to mention that white flight took off throughout the 1970s as blacks were gradually getting more equal rights. White flight separated the wealth of society from blacks, making it that much harder for this poverty-stricken minority group to get out of the mess whites had placed them in. Not only that but a lot of serious anti-black discrimination seeped into the 1980s; for example, whites used loopholes and technicalities to get around equal rights laws in order to keep blacks segregated and poverty-stricken. If it weren't for all the anti-black cruelties and injustices of whites, the amount of blacks who are poor and lower-class wouldn't be so high. Just to clarify, today's black elderly weren't allowed in so much as a decent bathroom 35 years ago, much less a decent living environment with decent jobs/salaries; thusly, they had to raise today's middle-aged blacks in lower-class areas, and so on to much of today's younger black generation. In addition to that, there's the anti-black racism that goes on today which most believe to be scanty in amount. According to recent FBI statistic however, anti-black hate crimes and discrimination from whites is still at an all time high (as shown here: http://www.fbi.gov/ucr/hc2008/incidents.%E2%80%A6 ). It simply isn't being addressed as racism is carried out much more subtly than it was a few decades ago. This is why the unemployment rate in the black community recently skyrocketed in comparison to the white unemployment rate. Much of the black community is in a shabby state for all the aforementioned reasons.
African Americans have always been the most poverty-stricken race nationwide while white Americans have always one of the least poverty-stricken races. Believe it or not, poverty brings forth a slew of issues for much of the black community. Let's connect some dots since some are too brainless to do so on their own: trying situations brought on by poverty cause lots of depression among african americans. Depression cannot be tackled with appointments to a pyschologists, as that would costs money that these African Americans are without. With nothing else to turn to, many take up DRUG USE. This triggers the SELLING OF DRUGS, as there are many in desperate monetary need and many driven to purchasing drugs. As another example, with little to no money to provide for themselves and their families, there's a lot of STEALING. Stealing has a way of causing a whole assortment of unrelated CRIMES and misconduct from HOLD UPS at businesses; joining into GANGS to further chances of success/survival; GANG VIOLENCE; ASSAULTS; etc. All these problems create ROUGH, LOWER-CLASS NEIGHBORHOODS/AREAS; rough, lower-class neighborhoods/areas where many adopt a TOUGH, GANGSTER exteriors for purposes of survival; not to be "cool" as certain whites obnoxiously attribute it to. All these factors contribute to the high INCARCERATION rate among African Americans. In addition, if these lower-class African Americans are able to get a job, it will not only be a job with low pay, but fraught with danger because of the area in which they live. It's important to note that black children/teens can't receive decent educations in such areas. They're attending trashy schools that can't afford anything. Both in and out of school, there's far too much concern over crime and survival to be focused on academics. This all links to lack of sex education, resulting in a lot of early teen pregancies and HIV/AIDS diseases which has become prevalent in much of the black community. Surviving in these living conditions is an extraordinary feat, let alone graduating highschool, college, and making a success of oneself.

That's the best question I've seen in a while. I really think it has to do with the media, and what they see their friends and families doing. I think for women (and this is just a guess) they see a no-good guy as the most attractive, and the good guy as (again, a guess) gay. I think that some women see the "bad boys" as the most attractive, and best thing ever. But then again, the bad boys may be perceived as "the good guys" because that's how they first come out. Then women get so into the guy, they don't want to leave them. I've actually been in that situation where I met a guy who seemed sweet, intelligent, and such a gentleman. And he was those things, but then I saw he was an extreme gamer, he smoked weed, never went to any of his college classes, and had a big anger problem. So I can say, I learned from my mistakes. Other women, however, I know it's not so easy for them.
For black men, I think (this is a guess too) they see the famous athletes, stars, etc getting horrible, yet very attractive women, they want that too. They would probably know the consequences for it, but put it in the back of the mind to where they wouldn't care what kind of women they are. About their clothing, that's about the media too. They see some famous black men wear certain clothing, they are going to want to wear it too. (On a personal note, I have no clue why some black guys wear their pants down low. That has became one of my standards of dating: No sagging pants, or no date) Unless the media actually shows black men in amazing careers (like doctors, lawyers, teachers, coaches, engineers, etc), some black men AND kids will see rappers and athletes as the best careers in the world

Thats why I dont go for those women but for some reason they go for me, so to be honest I either shake them off all together or I hit it and quit it and then shake them off, (usually the former these days as I have grown wiser), this is also why alot of brothers and sisters get fed up with their own race and start seeking ir relationships for all the wrong reasons, alot of us in our twenties dont know a whole lot about life and arent good judges of character, Im glad im not like that, I can usually spot a woman who aint worth my time by the things she says and the way she carries herself. Also, I cant totally agree with you on the dissing of hip-hop and of people who look a certain way because looks can be decieving and some ppl who may not look worthwhile are and sometimes those who seem to have it all together are the ones who are the manipulative, lying, decieving kind. Just because they may have a better job or may make more money or may not like rap dont mean shyt. Although Ive never been a fan of the skinny jeans mohawk look myself. But I digress. We just gotta keep our eyes open for that special someone.

Because some black men and black women try to live the lifestyle they see on T.V. and see nothing wrong with this. They believe what they hear and see and believe this is what life is all about. Not knowing that this is destroying the future generations to come.
I am glad to se that some black people see the things going on in the black community and know that this kind of behavior will get us nowhere in the future.
keep on pushing brother.

I haven't the slightest idea myself. I have seen this many times, even in the Hispanic community. I think it's a brain vs. brawn thing. I personally place education above the typical ghetto, thuggish garbage. Whoever thought "low-life" shyt is something to brag about and be proud of is out of their freakin' minds.

There are always two sides of a coin.. so I'm glad you see that MEN are just as responsible as WOMEN are in creating & maintaining these sterotypes.
Now hopefully more people can realize what you have and stop feeding into it!

I dont undestand that either! My aunt is with a guy like that she been with him for years & she had a nice guy that was helping her out but went back to the guy she is with know. Other women in my family learned so know they are single. My other Aunt said it is because she like "badboys" & my mom said she like "ruffnecks"

It's not only black women who go for the thugs, all women do that. Most women seem to find the "bad boys" more appealing when they're younger - this isn't just a black thing.

I'm a black woman who agrees with you...It's a shame respectable blacks like us are looked over from our own race....*sigh*

Not me give me a Tiger Woods any day!
Source(s): I learned from the white women, like Anna Nicole Smith, and Elin Woods, it don't matter what you look like, as long as you got loot!
