Does most music suck nowadays?

Because record companies only care about making maximum profits and half their singers can't sing and are fabricated with autotune. The music industry is dead.

Eh, people have been saying that for as long as music has been around. Probably when people first learned to make music by hitting rocks together, older cavepeople would say to each other, 'Does most music suck nowadays? Or am I just getting old?'

You've just got to know where to look to find the things you like.

I happen to love a lot of today's music, it all has to do with your taste in music. If you like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd then yeah, you're not gonna find much on the radio for you nowadays but remember when you were younger and people older then you said that about your music.... so my conclusion is yeah, you're just F****** old.

99% of it does. All this Lil Wayne, Eminem, Rihanna, Beyonce, Vampire Weekend.... They all suck. Some of them might have some technical ability but all they do with it is sing kinda "catchy" songs. Very juvenile, very boring.

I love Muse for bringing real epic music back to the mainstream. These guys actually know what they're doing; formally trained, they take influence from great composers like Rachmaninov, Chopin, Liszt.... They are the best band around today. If you don't believe me, listen to ONE of their songs. Every single one of their songs is good.

Wardruna is amazing too, but they aren't exactly popular or anything. They're from Norway.

no it doesn't all suck, you just have to wade through all the suck music like rap, and all those other horrible genres to get to the good stuff like techno or country (yes i realise those are two very random and non-mainstream genre's, but they are awesome) jut look up some stuff by owl city, basshunter, or taylor swift; and you'll see what i'm talking about

Some does and some doesn't. Depends on what kind of genre you're talking about. There are still lots of good songs being recorded these days in my opinion. There are also stupid ones that nobody will remember in 2 years.

Great modern music exists, you just have to do some searching! Avoid the mainstream forsure.

There is plenty of good music still... you just have to look past all of that rap and hip hop
