Is it interesting or signifigant that the President is quoting Harry Truman?

Update:

Keep it real, except in the realm of foreign policy. Subtle signals a sent by very precise language. I think we as a country have had just about all we are gonna take of strap-ons, if you get my drift. The President said we are at war, and he quoted Truman in the same speech.

These are subtleties that should not be lost on teh islamic world. Just as teh ranting and raving in the streets of Iran followed the deaths of american patriots in the CIA, so to are the people getting tired of strap-ons

In a way yes, but he the President has quoted a lot of past leaders. I think it is his style because he is what would we described as an intellectual thinker. He has used Lincoln, Roosevelt, Adams J.Quincy too. The real issue is is he an operational type thinker also. In today's world that is required for intelligence demands as well as in finance. Both require a person to not just react but to plan for contingencies. You mention the CIA, lost is the role of the friendly face of L.Panetta and why the Agency is now at odds with the military in the "war on terrorism" when it should have no problems defining its role nor carrying it out. Some of the problems of the past are being repeated mainly due to lack of trust among the Presidents own people. Who do think differently from the CIA or Military thinkers and planners. Your question has a lot of insight !

It means that in the process basic terms Christians can understand morals or freedoms, so no, i don't agree. i'm for freedoms and morals, and trust distinctive the ethical code that the Bible delivers us with. although, i believe that any you possibly can promptly draw from the ideals of morality and freedom without accepting the Bible. What approximately people who prepare diverse religions (or do not prepare faith) that still believe in freedom and morals? there is separation of church and state for a reason.

I missed the news tonight so I don't know which quote he chose to borrow (a link would have been really helpful) so all I can really say is if it was one of Truman's gems about Nixon, it's not nice to speak ill of the dead.

Thats b/c his speeches and his Charm is not so-Orginal as we all were led too believe! President Obama is just like anyother President that has had Lawyers and Histians write his speaches for him... They use this Reflection (History) of those who stood alone as stepping stools b/c in truth he can not speak from the heart of his true motivation's.... Always Judge a man by his action's never his words!
