Do I need too use 2nd method of birth control pill while taking azithromycin?

    Short answer is 'yes'.

    Long answer is read the packet that comes with your pill. It will tell you how long you should be using a second method of birth control for, and will probably say that it's not definite that antibiotics will actually affect your birth control, but that you should be safe about it and use a second method anyways.

    Yes - you'll need to use a backup method while you take the antibiotic AND for at least 4 weeks after you stop to allow your pill hormones to build back up. Continue taking your pill as normal though.
