What does "va au mcdo" mean?

I know "va au mcdo" is French for "go to McDonald's", but I was wondering if it meant something idiomatically, i.e. if it was slang for something. I assume it's meant as an insult, but I don't know. Does anyone?

I speak French fluently but ive never heard it used as an insult. Saying that it could be some kind of street or regional slang akin to the kind you might find in the urban dictionary. Mcdo does have connotations of being a place where poorer people hang out and its not very refined so it may be connected with this. It may well be something that kids/teens say. Hope this helps. =)
