Have you ever felt betrayed by someone you loved?

No matter how beautiful, popular, smart etc you are, we all have been betrayed by someone we loved/trusted at some point in life. As you know it really hurts deeply. When you're told you'll get over it, at the time it feels dismissive & impossible, but it really is true. If you choose not to let it make you bitter, you really can learn from it. Unfortunately sometimes it happens more than once, but each time you get wiser, especially in your choice of who to trust. Also it strengthens you becz you realize you can survive it! Consequently you become less needy/anxious next time you fall in love or just in friend choices. It's actually a great feeling to know that, hey, no matter what, I really will not only survive but will be OK. That's when you know that it's more than just words that YOU are valuable and worthy of the best! Hope this helps & wasn't too wordy.

I was with a Marine for 8 months, this guy told me he loved me and that he just loved me soo much he talked about me moving to Cali with him and well lets say he proposed and we thought about the whole long engagement. Well he's been away for a couple months and just last month he was away in Umaha Arizona traning. well when ge got back to base he called me telling me that he was back but something in him was different. i could tell and well i kept calling him but he kept ignoring my phone calls. After i called him for the last time i asked him what was wrong, he was whispering telling me he was going to call me back. The next day he called me back telling me that he didnt wanna be with me anymore because of our distance and because he couldnt help himself and that he would CHEAT ON ME. of course im devastated because i thought his feelings were real, i felt betrayed, and lost. i was like what now. this was just two weeks ago. im feeling better as the days go by and i try not to think about it but this is the worst betrayel of all the heart aches ive gone through he made all the other jerks look good

Yes, I was held under water by someone once because they were jealous of a friendship that I had. I thought I would die but I did not. Humans are so tempermental.

Yes,it was my (now) ex-wife...I was so hurt,all I could do was stare at a ceiling for 24 hours and cry

More times than I like to admit.... Reason being is because I'm too trusting
