What's wrong with my xbox?

Question

Today, I was playing Call of Duty online, when suddenly the graphics changed so I could see though parts of the ground and walls. I tried to play through the rest of the game and when it was over, I turned off my xbox and turned it back on, hoping that it was just a glitch. However, when I did, my xbox only played the audio part of turning on, I did not see the startup screen or the xbox dashboard. I didn't have the red ring of death, just a black screen with white dots on it.

edit: Random, I was playing for about 20 minutes or so when this happened, It was the second game I played online today.

It is most likely either a loose cable or broken cable. If you have a friend that has an xbox ask them to borrow their cable to test it.Also, if your using a component/av cable make sure it is switched to the proper setting (hd for component[the red blue & green heads] and tv or standard for av [yellow red & white]) It definitely didn't over heat and you definitely didn't fry your gpu (graphical processing unit) because if you did you would get flashing red lights instead of the normal green ones.

It could be the cable/s, if you have an alternate HDMI or a/v cables, try switching them out to test it.  If not, I do know of people who had similar things happen while playing right before they did get the red ring of death.

If its still doing it then theres a little chip in your xbox that enables graphics, that got fried and youd be better off to buy a new xbox because it'll probly cost more than the price of a new xbox to get it fixed.

Stop playing it so much, Its probably overheating.

Give it a day or so with no usage, then try again.
