Where can I find mini storage units in New York or Washington?
I want a mini storage unit to collect some of items purchased on eBay etc and later ship to me altogether. Where and how can I find small storage units for rent. Thank you.
Thanks Samatha for answer: Well, I live in the Mid-East. If there are for eg: 20 purchases from eBay, then shipping altogether is lot more cheaper and easy than paying shipping charges for every parcel. This is why.

Call the information phone line for a city in New York or Washington....smaller cities will be cheaper than larger ones....just get a map and try from that. They can give you listing numbers in the phone book...."Public Storage" is a major chain all over....but there are also many private small ones.
Another way would be to get hold of a phone book for the state....or city in that state...they are usually available through the local Post Office, and you can purchase them. Then you could study up
on your own....The information line is 411 here in the States...then you ask for the State and city you want.
Thinking about this and what you want to do has a few problems. What you want is an address to store things....a mini storage here has a padlock on it, put on by you...and no one else "usually" can have access to it. It would take special arrangements to send items and have them put in the storage, and to be able to trust no one would steal them. It would be better if you could find a person who would take care of them for you. Something to think about!
Also am curious...why wouldn't you pick shipping the items to you when you buy them? Wouldn't that be less expensive than paying storage rental?
