How long can I store an Italian sausage/salami for in the fridge?
my hubby bought a mild italian sausage/salami type thing yesterday from a beautiful little Deli we found. Since its cured and all that, how long can it be stored in the fridge for? and how should I store it?
It has come wrapped in paper, do I keep it in that or should I use an airtight tupperware container?
Also what can I do with it lol , meaning, eating/cooking wise

Is the salami pre-cut or whole? If its pre-cut then I would treat it like ham and use it within a few days. If you haven't cut the salami then it should store for quite a while, but im saying this cos we keep salami strung up in the cupboard for months. Once its cut I use it quickly
I like salami and cheese melts- grill salami and cheese on toast.
Also, add salami to pizza's (or muffin pizza's- which a pizzas with an english muffin be instead of dough, cooked under the grill) Its a good pepperoni substitute
I love adding any left over salami to tomato based pasta sauces. A pasta bake with a tomato sauce, salami and olives with a parmesan cheesy crust is so yummy- and then all your salami can be used up xx
