Where to go during my visit to Washington and New York City.?

Hi there,

I'm planning my vacations two weeks (One week February and one week March) to Washington and New York City, and I need advice where to go, affordable hotels, and good food.

    -A Ride on the Staten Island Ferry (its free and you can see the Statue of Liberty as the ferry crosses the harbor)

    "Affordable hotels" doesn't apply very well to either New York City (at least Manhattan) or D.C. Check a site like Kayak and see what fits your budget.

    This time of year it's generally fairly cold in both NYC and D.C., so that probably will push you more towards doing indoor things. In DC the Smithsonian museums are amazing (particularly American History and Air And Space), and if the weather is at all tolerable then the National Mall (with Lincoln Memorial and Vietnam Memorial) are a must-see. A similar story for NYC: if weather is tolerable then you may want to see the must-see's like Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge; indoor options are led by the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
