Do you think that people will watch X factor over American Idol ?

My understanding is X Factor the british sing reality TV show is coming to America

& Simon cowell is going to judge on X factor instead of idol.

My question is do you think that idol will loose viewers to x factor

because of the loss of Simon.

Tell me what your opinion is.

Thanks guys(:

Thanx for the info on the show coming to America. I see many more Americans watching the show because of it.

Personally, i would say no initially but American Idol could start to slow down eventually and then people might start watching "X factor" instead.

I don't really see the hype about Simon though so maybe I'm biased against him. Good question! we'll have to wait and see... :)

I am from the UK and we were the first to get 'American Idol' (called 'Pop Idol' here) and XFactor. From comparing the two, I can categorically say XFactor is much better. The format is much more entertaining. You still get the audition stages where all of the nutters appear lol. But when it comes to the live shows, the finalists are split into groups and each group is mentored by Simon and other panelists. So there is a further element of competition in it too. If you like American Idol, you will like XFactor. Trust me lol.

Simon Cowel may be destroying the music industry but he knows how to put a show together. He is the centre of American Idol (as a judge and a producer he is pretty much pulling all the strings), and when he leaves, I bet the audience leave with him.

No.. American Idol will still be boss. The problem is, no one likes Simon and the idea that he is a jerk does not attract people to watch him. What attracts us is the horrid voices and very talented people that come out on this show. The X factor is okay, but American Idol is just what it is and people won't leave it.

I think they will by samona being the host of that show, I don't think that he will loss anything because he has done american idol for so long that it is time for him to do something else. I think this is a great start for him to get out of the music an do something else with his face on it.

i'll observe X-ingredient by way of fact American Idol would be no longer something with out Simon Cowell. i want Paula Abdul weren't going to be on it inspite of the undeniable fact that. i'll omit Idol, even though it is rather unlikely to be stable with out Simon.

I do. Simon is the only 1 that keeps it interesting. everybody else is really nice unlike simon. Simon actually judges people by telling them it was atrocious

It should do, X Factor replaced 'Pop Idol' which was the UK version of American Idol.

Also, trust me, X Factor is much better.

Yeah, that's exactly what my mom thinks. That people will watch X factor because Simon gone. He is pretty much irreplaceable ,so yeah probably.
