If you are fired for something that someone said you said is that legal even if you said you did not do it?

    Sure, most states have an 'at-will' employment policy, so it is legal to be fired for any reason, or no reason at all.

    Regardless, if you can prove (not just claim) you did not do what you were accused of, can prove (not claim) the cause for the firing was discrimination or other illegal practice, and it is worth your while to pursue this in court, you can contact an employment lawyer and discuss your options.

    The wording in your question is really hard to understand. I'm willing to bet the people you were talking to didn't understand that you didn't really do it and told your boss that you did.

    Nearly all conflicts are caused by lack of proper communication skills. Life is much easier with the ability to communicate properly.
