::Ramadan:: What to do when?

Poverty strikes you?

Sometimes it is hard to keep calm and keep saying it will get better, alhamdulilah alhamdulilah, when your mother stresses even though it is bad for her since she is ill and you feel guilt. Or perhaps you could lose your home and have to go somewhere else...

Authobillah... we should always be grateful and look at the ones who are below us...

What can one do? Any duas...?

Update:

Having a job is not an option - it would be if I was to leave school and work full time - since as a student I can't work more than 8 hours a week... which would earn very very little...

I don't want to leave school... it's my only hope

Sister My prayers are for you

Read Surah Al kahf And remember what happened with people of cave

    For dua

    18:10

when the youths retreated to the cave and said, "Our Lord, grant us from Yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair right guidance."

    Tafsir :

Mention, when the youths took refuge in the Cave (fitya, ‘youths’, is the plural of fatā, and denotes a mature young man) fearing for their faith from their disbelieving people, they said, ‘Our Lord! Give us mercy from Yourself and remedy for us our affair through rectitude’, [through Your] guidance.

And do sabr !! i know it is so hard at that time.

Sabr means to stay focused in the time of calamities and to follow firmly what you believe .it does not mean to be a self pity person..

And you should know that you will get much more Sawaab (reward) in the time of calamities ,equal to fifty Sahaba(companions of prophet)

Prophet said: “After you there will come the days of patience (i.e., days which require patience). Patience during those (days) will be like grasping a live coal. During those (days) the reward for the one who adheres to the commands of Allaah will be equivalent to the reward of fifty men who did an action like his.”

He said, “O Messenger of Allaah, the reward of fifty of them?” He said, “The reward of fifty of you.”

Narrated by Abu Dawood, 4341; Ibn Maajah, 4014. Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Saheehah, 494.

See the life of first martyr of Islam, Hazrat Summaya RA. See the life of Abrahim (AS)

Remember that Prophet and His companions were captured in Shabai Abi Talib for three years

with out shelter and with out food. They had to eat grass etc there to live

know that InshAllah Present Conditions are temporary and a a test

There are several verses in the Qur’an which clearly specify that our Creator Almighty Allah tests us in several different ways

“Do men think that they will be

left alone on saying, “we believe”,

And that they will not be tested?”

    (Al Qur’an 29:2)

“Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger,

some loss in goods or lives, or the fruits (of your toil),

but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere.”

    (Al Qur’an 2:155)

And know ye that your possessions

And your progeny, are but a trial

And that it is Allah with whom lies

    Your highest reward.

    (Al Qur’an 8:28)

Islam states that such calamities are a type of test for Humans whether they are yet retain their patience(sabr) Or Not ?

There is a general rule that the more difficult the test, higher the reward. To pass graduation in Arts and Commerce is relatively easy and if you pass you are called as a graduate without any special title but if you graduate in the field of medicine which is comparatively a much more difficult examination, besides becoming a graduate you are also called as a doctor and the title Dr. is put in front of your name.

In the same way Allah (swt) tests, different people in different ways, some with health, some with disease, some with wealth, some with poverty, some with more intelligence, some with less, and depending upon the facility He gives the individual, He tests accordingly.

There fore there are 100 grades in heavens .High class heavens (Janatul Firdous) are for those who passes difficult exams in this world.

This life is nothing as compare to life after whose one day is equal to 50,000 years of this life

At this time if any one can really Help you. It is Allah alone.

And at last believe in Allah but do effort to solve the matters. Because Allah does not change the conditions of People unless they try to change themselves.!

Alykum asalam wa ramatollheh wa barakatuhu,

sis this is a test - Insha'Allah stay strong and if Allah Subhanhu wa Ta'ala brings you to it, He will bring you through it; He does not place a burden on us bigger than we can bear (tho it may at times feel like it); have faith (even tho it can be hard)

make lots of duas and seek help from Allah Subhanhu wa ta'ala - only He can help you through this, and keep saying Alhamdulillah as hard as it can be for you have health, able to walk, etc etc, water, etc

    other things to do:

    1. try selling old things you dont need

    2. even tho u will get little from a part time job..it is better than nothing and accumulates

being -$100 less dollars in debt or anything is still something; "If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping in a closed room with a mosquito" - African Proverb

    3. try googling any financial aid or support that is available from teh government

    4. be patient and comfort your mother; Insha'Allah that will please Allah Subhanhu wa ta'ala

    5. saveee money; dont spend anything on what u dont need; skip the coffee from outside, etc, etc

    6. and Alhamdulillah you seem to be very wise and already very well know this - but stay in school - it is your only way out!!

Insha'Allah Allah Subhanhu wa Ta'ala eases your struggles, and gives you strength during this time. ameen. i'll Insha'Allah keep you in my prayers sis.

    Salaam Walaikum sister,

I know from experience; situations as you have described have an immense amount of distress on everyone in the family. You thank Allah (swt) you have family, and are together to support one another. Look for work at the first opportunity and work as a unit to support each other, financially and emotionally.

Keep your Imaan strong, pray Salah, do your Sunnah fasts, read Quran, Allah (swt) is with you.

I found this link with Dua's listed, http://fahmidaspearls.blogspot.com/2007/04/duas-fo...

Is this what's happening to you? Sometimes we are thrust into these kind of situations when we least expect them as remembrance of Allah's (swt) ability to change anyone's status or position.

That sad faced homeless man who you always pass on the street can also one day be you, if Allah (swt) wills.

If you are in difficult times, my advice to you would be to stay steadfast and trust Allah (swt) He is the All-Powerful and He has the ability to decree anything. The life of this world is like a paradise for the disbeliever and like a prison for the believer. Remember that.

You have to struggle through these bad times, whilst you are doing so, pray to Allah (swt) and tell Him of your problems. He is your friend, the only one who can protect you is Allah (swt)

I hope you and your family will be okay.

Best wishes to you at this tough time & may Allah (swt) help you,

    Peace :-)

    salamulaykoum :)

It is very difficult to keep calm and but it should also be known sis, that we have to keep remembering Allah ta'ala always. We can't just remember Him when we are happy, we have to remember Him when we get tears, when we feel distressed, when we feel shocked, etc. And yes we must always look at that person who is below us, because there is always someone out there who is. A person should always have his trust in Allah ta'ala and be patient with him. Always try and get closer to Him because I've found that as we get closer to Him, each one of our sorrows gets blown away, even though they might be there still. Allah ta'ala is the only one who can help us, that is why we must keep making dua only unto Him. I found some duas:

"O Allah, save me from haraam and make the halaal sufficient and by your boon/favour make me independent from others". (Mishkat)

These words were spoken by Ali (R.A.) taught by Prophet Mohammad (SAW.) when a person expressed a shortfall in his wealth to Ali (R.A.) he said: "Shall I not show you what Prophet Mohammad (SAW) taught me, even if there is a debt equal to that of a huge mountain then Allah will pay it". Ali (R.A.) then recited the above dua. (Tirmidhi)

    http://www.searchtruth.com/dua/index.php?dua=76

May Allah ta'ala ease all our burdens and keep us on the straight path, amin

    take care sis

    love you x

" Or perhaps you could lose your home and have to go somewhere else..."

and how many people are suffering chronic hunger ? Somewhere in the billions.

rather, we need to devote to the Qur'aan with which we can understand trials. Otherwise, stress and error is all we will get.

We need to submit. Do your best but submit. You cannot get more rizq than Allaah determines. and Allaah is just, merciful.

A true believer is a person who irrespective of what ever happens says, ‘Alhamdulillah’. Praise be to Allah. Even when he goes in loss he says Alhamdullillah, because he has faith in Allah that if Allah permitted the loss to be incurred it has to be beneficial in the long run. In short he has faith in Allah, that whatever happens, happens for the good.

    And Allah Knows Best.

if your the one suffering from poverty i suggest you look for a job no mater what it is, as long as it dose not get to the point where there is lack of food, then ...... its a tough challenge of patients from god, poverty i would say its a challenge many humans are failing.

if your doing ok and you see poverty around you..... you can do a lot, just have to know from where and who to start with.
