Ladies : what type of clothes do you like on guys?

Different women will like you in different types of clothes. There are a few things that are universally true though.

Wear clothes that fit your body-type. If you are heavy, then wear cuts, styles and colours that diminish your weight. If you are short, then wear more vertical lines, and avoid horizontal lines. These are just common fashion tips.

Wear nice shoes. Shoes say a lot about a man. This doesn't mean you have to wear dress shoes, but you should take good care of your shoes. Keep them clean, tie your laces, wear new laces that are not frayed, and wear shoes that are appropriate for your clothes.

Shoes aren't the only thing you should keep clean. Keep your clothes clean. This doesn't mean you have to iron your jeans, but it does mean that you shouldn't be dirty or smelly. She shouldn't be afraid she'll get dirty if she hugs you. She shouldn't feel as though she has to wash her hands.

Wear colours that compliment your skintones, hair colour, and eyes. Also, wear colours that you like and feel comfortable in. If red makes you feel aggressive, then avoid it. If blue makes you feel calm, then wear more blue. Likewise, if warm makes you feel more romantic and warm, then maybe you should wear more red. This is stuff that every woman already knows, but yet many men are still very ignorant to this.

Dress for the season. Unless you're south of the equator, its winter, and you may look a bit foolish dressing inappropriate for colder weather. You can however dress in layers. Its often good to show a little skin, and to be comfortable, when indoors, so consider dressing in layers. Layers also look appealing, and can be quite fashionable.

There are only so many men's fashions to really consider, such as lapels, width of tie, cuffs, and things like that. Its possible to meet somewhere in the middle, if you're unsure what's in fashion. You can also stick to solids, if you're not sure what patterns are attractive. You really can't go wrong with solids, and they stay in fashion longer.

Dress for your age. Age-appropriate clothes are also fashionable. This doesn't mean you have to dress like everyone else around you. You can have a distinctive fashion. You don't have to be a sheep and follow the crowd. You should however try not to be too old, or two young. Just dress for your age.

Consider wearing soft fabrics. Soft fabrics encourage touching. Remember, one of the senses is touch, and its good to appeal to the senses. You're already appealing to the sense of sight, so its good to appeal to touch.

Sometimes its also good to consider other senses, like smell and sound too. Certain fabrics like corduroy can make sounds, as can jewelry. Some scents are just as important too. There are certain fabrics, such as wool, which do have a distinctive scent, but its also good to consider deodorants, cologne, body sprays, aftershaves, moisturizers, and breath. Smoking stinks, and no matter how stylish you are, people may not want to hang-around you, if you stink. Scents also mask natural pheromones. There have been multiple studies about scent. What they found is that most women prefer if a man is scentless. The less scent, the better. However, they did discover that women do like things like babypowder, cucumber and Good'N'Plenty candy (licorice).

Shiny things can be attractive, but only to a point. This is the principle behind wearing bling (jewelry). This is also referred to as peacocking, because the male peacock, displays colourful features to attract the female.

Be yourself. Wear what's comfortable. Yes, there are some women who like certainly styles, but unless you're comfortable in that style, it wont look good on you. Don't be a poser, be real. Be yourself.

Clothes that fit.

I like the NY look...timbs, nice hat, snorkel.

Skinny jeans are not a good look.

I also like a man in a nice suit and good shoes.

The whole emo skater look is gross.

Normal clothes... or sometimes I like it when guys dress up. I hate styles like gangster/emo/prep/whatever.

I like guys who don't wear their pants below their butts, but not too tight either. it has to be a good fit. a nice T, or a button up :)...pretty much semi-casual. look presentable, if you want to have long hair, keep it clean and combed...corn rows are nice too. a clean look is a good look ;)

No bums hanging out!

I quite like just tee's and jeans, and hoodies.

And I think skinny-ish jeans, with a shirt and zip up hoodie generally looks good :)
