What CMS (Content Management System) does the Yahoo! Homepage run on?

I know, Yahoo! probably uses it's own professional script. The question is more what CMS would be best for me to use to build something like the Yahoo! Homepage with the news in lots of categories, the connected interfaces with facebook, flickr, games, weather, ... excluding specific complicated things like the whole search engine, web-mail, messenger, answers and so on.

Yahoo does use their own in house software to run its website.

Joomla is a pretty good cms with lots of extensions available.

Have you checked out Joomla? I have no personal experience with it, but have heard others have used it with success.

    Good luck : )
