Is it OK to expose the camera to Sun Light ?
I took pictures of the Solar Eclipse today and I did use a filter on many occasions. But, there was one that I took without. Please check the following link and let me know whether it's OK to take pics like this.

I would be more worried about your eyes than your camera if it's an SLR. In a solar eclipse, the sun's ultraviolet light is just as bright as if you were staring directly at the full sun. Brief glances won't harm you, but a sustained view will. If the filter was a UV filter, then you're probably okay. If you were using a film camera, it would be possible to burn a hole in the film if the sun's image remained in one spot for a long interval. Digital sensors are more resilient. Still, the heat from the focused sun for a long exposure could damage the circuitry. But you probably were not using long exposures.

You risk damaging your camera by focussing the sun on your sensor.....you wouldn't be the first to write off a camera doing it. And if it's an SLR or DSLR, damaging your retina, too.
But if your camera shows no ill effects and you're not seeing a blurred spot in your vision, you got away with it.
(BTW nobody else seems to have problems putting links in questions.)

You might have got away with it , just this time . Better to be cautious.
There is something called copy and paste , try using it.
