What would you recommend to me for a MMORPG?
I am looking for mmorpgs, and I was wondering if my fellow geeks out there will help me. It does not to be a free mmo, but preferably I would like to play free ones.

Final Fantasy XI is a good MMO. The only problems is that after your first character, you have to pay $1 for each additional character slot. But You can change you job (aka class) when you want to and you can have subjobs (like right now i'm a 60 White Mage with a subjob of 30 Summoner (some subjobs have boosts in your main job like at 50 whm / 25smn i got auto-refresh (which is MP regeneration) and tanks always either are Warrior/sub or Paladin (or Ninja) / Warrior because warrior gets "Provoke" at level 5. There are many jobs in this game (alot more than WoW) and you can ride giant chickens (chocobos) to travel faster (and ride on airships) after doing quests. Of course, all MMOs take time to actually do good. (Like it took me 3 months to get things i need and to get to my level now) and like other MMOs, in game money is very much needed at lower levels.
