Yes, It's possible...Actually quite easy...Having served in AF and Iraq...They were common and an easy way to build work and living space...Basically what you would do...Is take 2X4s and plywood...You build and internal frame and floor in side the container...This way you can insulate them just like anyother house...The stay quite warm..But you have to fram the inside...The metal walls are thin...and use the plywoood for flooring and the walls...It's easy to cut holes for airconditioners and windows...Then frame it with 2X4's...A power box for electricity...Everything else is the same for lighting and electrical outlets...Normally, we would frame the entrance with a separate door...So that when you open the container...there was a wooden wall with a normal door...You can stack them side by side...Cut an entrance way to connect containers...and stack one up to give you a second floor...We even used them for shower rooms...Plumbing was easy...as with drainage...It also was easy to add-on...So you could start small...and keep building..like giant lego blocks...Take Care Good Luck

there are some that are prefabricated, they can be quite ecological and easy to be modified, but u are always limited by the ISO sizes, also it can get quite cold inside them, but it might not be important , depending on which climate you live in, i have done an exposition hall project in university out of these things.
