Windows 7 OpenGL for Call Of Duty 1 Demo?
Ok so I got the Call of Duty 1 demo for my Windows 7 Starter Net book and when I open it it gives me some list of something and at the top it says "Could not Load OpenGL subsystem" or something like that.
Oh and I got the demo from a friend from his Flash Drive.
Please Help!
Best Answer to the person who has a tutorial and has it well-written.
Thanks!

open gl is a library/standard that is used for 3d graphics. Your system does not have the hardware to be able to use the library for that game. Don't worry, NO netbook does. A netbook does not have a video card, it does not have a pentium class processor.
When it says "could not load OpenGL subsystem" it is because your computer doesn't have the ability to use a required subsystem of the software.
cod MINIMUM requirements. REAL world requirements are much higher.
* 3D hardware accelerator card required - 100% DirectX 9.0b compatible 32MB hardware T&L-capable video card and latest drivers*
* English version of Microsoft Windows 98/ME/2000/XP
* Pentium III 600MHz or Athlon 600MHz processor or higher for systems with Windows 98/ME
* Pentium III 700MHz or Athlon 700MHz processor or higher for systems with Windows 2000/XP
* 128MB RAM
* 8x speed CD-ROM drive (1200KB/sec sustained transfer rate) and latest drivers
* 1.4GB of uncompressed free hard disk space (plus 400MB for Windows 98/ME swap file, 600MB for Windows 2000/XP swap file)
* 100% DirectX 9.0b compatible 16-bit sound card and latest drivers
* 100% Windows 98/ME/2000/XP compatible mouse, keyboard and latest drivers
* DirectX 9.0b (included)
As you know a netbook is not a replacement for a real computer, it is an accessory to a real computer.
cod is graphicly beautiful on a nice system. OBVIOUSLY ANY game, especially a graphicaly intense one with 3d requires a good REAL video card. I have seen it run on a notebook with integrated, but the experience was horrible, choppy, laggy, glitchy and that was when it was run on "low"
The only open gl that you can download is a completely obsolete version from before the turn of the century. Even if you could install a more up to date version, it wouldn't make a difference because your hardware can't use it. It's like feeding aviation fuel to a car or meat to a herbivore.
