Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus driver?
Ok, had a problem with my windows, so i had to reinstall it (sp 2)
And at the end of everything, the sound doesn't work... It is a yellow question mark in the device manager... Of course I've downloaded and installed sp 2, just in case....
So I've tried to install soundmax and realtek device drivers, realtek finished his job, but did nothing and soundmax couldn't finish the job because "the audio driver files do not support your computer hardware"...
Help, anyone?
Oh yeah, have installed xp sp3, but it still doesn't work...
have a better link for sp3?

Easy(?) way: SP3 includes the drivers you need for the actual sound drivers to work. ;>
Don't want to go SP3 yet?
Go here:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888111/
There's a link at the top to 'request hotfix'.
I find it quicker to grab it from cnet:

If you can’t find the right Audio drivers manually I would recommend just getting a software program that can do it for you. There is a program I use which will find drivers for just about all hardware devices. The best part is it takes a snapshot of your system specifications and matches the right driver to go with it. Perform a free driver scan at:

Please right click on the Yellow ? and reinstall driver , choose the internet and let it search for the correct drivers, this works if you are hooked to the internet.
Better still look for the Device drivers CD from your CD store for the Specific PC you formated

Go to your vendor site (Dell, HP, whateva) and download the drivers from there. Also make sure you download the chipset drivers.

Make sure Windows is updated through service pack 3 and try running the hardware wizard again, should find it!
