Why does the metronome make me sleepy?
I'm learning to play the guitar at the moment and I am using a metronome to help me with my strumming pattern. The problem is the sound of the metronome makes me really sleepy, why is this and is there anyway I can stop it

I suppose it is quite a hypnotic sound. Why not get a basic drum sequencing programme for your computer, play it at whatever tempo you like, but have a different drum sound for every tick? That should cure the monotony.
