Questions about the TiVo HD DVR recording two shows at once?

Two questions on this:

1. In order to record two shows at once, do you have to pay additional service fees, or does the standard service fee cover you for the single box with two shows at a time?

2. Can you watch a previously recorded show at the same time as recording two shows? I can do this with my Dish Network DVR.

The Tivo has a range of fees. You can pay per month, per 3 months, year, ect., all the way up to a lifetime one time fee that used to be $400 (400 bucks just to use something I already payed a lot for?!). As for external drives, I think they both offer hard drive expansion... And the Tivo comes in a few different sizes... I don't know about Verizon. There is normally a port on the back that says something like "Drive Expansion" or something along those lines.

    1. If you have no or one cablecard, no. In rare instances, or if you have the original Series 3 (as OLED display on front) you will need two cards, and at least pay rent and service fees for them.

    2. Yes, you can record two and watch a recording from the NowPlaying list.
