A good feather pillow costs about $10 or so. Just buy one and ducttape it to the dashboard in front of the passenger seat.

probably $1,500 but if you go to ebay motors you may be able to buy the part yourself and install it yourself(that would probably be $500)...
Installing the part is one thing but resetting the system so the new part fires is going to require a dealer
