i want to learn about cars ?
I am in high school, a girl, & i want to learn about cars. Like learn about changing the oil & stuff like that. i am really interested in it. I live in new jersey/close to new york city. does anyone know where i can go to a class or something to learn about cars ?

in some high schools there is an elective for taking auto, but if not u can always go to a shop and maybe get a part time job there, or like an internship. Its a good way to learn about them and you will do alot of oil changes and changing tires and things like that. Also if you really wanted to you could go to a mechanic college when you get out of high school if thats what you want to do later on in life. Im a girl too and i take an auto class at my school. Its actually really fun and it helps alot with fixing my own car. :)

There was a girl in auto shop when I was in high school. That was a long time ago. When my son got to high school, they didn't have any shop classes at all. Sad. The other choice is community college, perhaps night or weekend class.
