What pickup truck will meet my needs?
I drive a honda civic, which is great for me, except I do a lot of gardening. I want to get an affordable pickup truck for occasional hauling; things like hay bales and compost, etc. I want the smallest pickup I can find. Something that gets really good gas mileage. I'm going to keep my civic for commuting. I don't really know anything about trucks. I don't want to spend more than $2000, so it's going to have to be an older model. Recommendations?

I am a dodge fan so would rrecomend a Dakota. however an S10 by chevy or a colorado from GMC woudl work fine. If you can find a good running Tacoma or Nissan Hardbody or a Mazda B-series truck those are all slightly smaller trucks, and don't go for anything older than 1996 is my experience. Dodge dakota or Toyota Tacoma

A 95 or newer Chevy S10 with a 2.2 liter four cylinder and two wheel drive. These things get up to thirty miles per gallon and I have seen some with an 8 foot bed. These things are a dime a dozen, and parts are cheap if it breaks down.

Toyota Would be best and first choice. They are reliable and get better gas mi. They hold there value, so if budget is most important, nissan would be my next suggestion.
