Spark problem 1992 chevy 1500 p/u 4.3 v6 {PICKUP COIL}?
I PULLED MY DISTRIBUTOR can any one tell me how to open the brass cover to the pick up coil or is it pressed on ??? lil help

you need to remove the gear off the bottom of the distributor do that by removing the roll pin then pull the shaft out of the distributor it may be gummed up use a little wd40 if it is then you can get right 2 the coil remove clip remove coil make sure you mark the gear and the rotor base i use white out to make sure things go back together just like it was

typically, it's just alot easier to replace it. Why did you pull the distributor? If it isnt getting spark, replace the main coil, rotor, cap, plugs, wires, and if necissary, the entire distributor. Dont even screw around, eliminate headaches and make your life easier.
