That's a touchy subject amount players. I'm a rifled barrel fan because of the Hammerhead barrel line. The Hammerhead barrels use patented rifling with specific spiraling to maximize accuracy and distance. Keys to getting good performance involves the ball just as much as the barrel. Buy good quality paint and make sure that the paintball matches the barrel. Matching is easy to do when you have the ability to use a back or 'fin'. Just select the back that best matches the bore of the paint you are using.
Also a good kit to use for any existing barrel is the Python Compression Kit. You can turn any barrel into a barrel kit that match different size paint bores.
