Question about magic the gathering?
So I played mutilate (every creature gets -1/-1 for every swamp I have) and i had 7 swamps. All my opponents creatures died and mine did too. I had a creature (deathspeaker) that said for every creature to go into the graveyard, I got 1 life. Do I still get the life even if when all the other creatures died so did my deathspeaker?

Yes, you would gain the life from the Deathspeeker. I play MtG:O, and it works there fine, just as the quoted rulebook section says.
When effects happen simultaneously, all possible permutations of those effects happen at once. So if you kick Rite of Replication on an Ally creature, all 5 copies of that ally will trigger each other's effects 4 times, since they are all enter play at the same time.

Sorry, but all those other guys are wrong (especially the idiot who says it's "occult"). Deathgreeter WILL trigger for each creature that dies along with it. The game looks back at the last state it was in to see if anything should trigger, sees the Deathgreeter there, and triggers accordingly. Here's an excerpt from the Comprehensive Rulebook (pay special attention to the example):
"603.6d. ...some triggered abilities must be treated specially because the object with the ability may no longer be on the battlefield, may have moved to a hand or library, or may no longer be controlled by the appropriate player. The game has to "look back in time" to determine if these abilities trigger. Leaves-the-battlefield abilities, abilities that trigger when a permanent phases out, abilities that trigger when an object that all players can see is put into a hand or library, abilities that trigger specifically when an object becomes unattached, abilities that trigger when a player loses control of an object, and abilities that trigger when a player planeswalks away from a plane will trigger based on their existence, and the appearance of objects, prior to the event rather than afterward.
Example: Two creatures are on the battlefield along with an artifact that has the ability "Whenever a creature is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, you gain 1 life." Someone plays a spell that destroys all artifacts, creatures, and enchantments. The artifact's ability triggers twice, even though the artifact goes to its owner's graveyard at the same time as the creatures."

well, it depends. if deathspeaker says "every time a creature is put into a graveyard from play, you gain 1 life" or something similar, then no, because they would all leave at the same time, including deathspeaker, which would mean his ability is no longer active. If it says "when deathspeaker comes into play you gain 1 life for each creature in the graveyard." still no, because you only get the boost when he comes into play. so i would go with now, because the only way that would work, is if he was on the field. which if he dies, his ability no longer works.
and yea, people do still play magic, and no, it is not an occult game, its a card game, which uses strategy to defeat the opponent in a fictitious game of magic spells and fantasy creatures. so if you believe the cards are going to come to life and eat you, you're a retard.

no! deathspeaker has to stay on the field, since the effect is contiuse!
if it dies, you can't use her effect.
