Is there any software that converts mpeg-4 movies to a format that's playable on a DVD player?

I want to watch the movies on my television.

I highly recommend DVD NexT Copy Ultimate.

It is a very good all-in-one DVD Burning Software and it enables you to burn or copy DVD copy protected movies to play it in your home DVD player.

It's advanced functionality combined with quality and speed in a simple and user-friendly interface makes it ideal for home and office use.

One of its best feature is its ability to burn Blu-ray discs - you can even copy 10 of your standard DVD movies to fit in 1 Blu-ray disc.

What's also nice about it is its ability to copy a DVD movie to a mobile gadget such as iPod, PSP, Zune etc.

This feature can really be handy if you want to view your dvd movies in different dvd players.

Here is the complete product page for DVD NeXt Copy Ultimate:

    Hope this helps.

Ahh, there are undeniably a plethora of good programs out there and I have not really tested a lot of them but I use ConvertXtoDVD. It feels like a decent program and so far I have been able to convert all my videos so that I can watch them on my DVD player with pretty much no quality loss. But it is really up to you, just try some free trials.

And also just wanted to say that programs that are completely free usually end up in some amount of quality reduction when you convert files.
