Difference between feeding a fancy mouse and feeding a feeder mouse to my Boa?
Alright, I know feeders are much more unhealthy and were bred to be big whilst fancy mice are bred for temperament and health. I breed mice, both feeder and fancy, but I bought both kinds from private breeders.
I breed fancy to sell as pets and I breed feeders to feed my snake and sell to other snake owners. Yesterday, I didn't have an available feeder to feed my snake. So I had to run to Petco, and purchased a "feeder" mouse. I noticed they took it out of the "Fancy" mouse tank.
This mouse feels like a fancy, and is actually very nice. Sure, it had red eyes and looked a bit mean, but the little baby was less than a month old and so I had to run to the private feeder breeder and buy another mouse xD
My question is: If I had fed my snake this fancy mouse(Which I'm sure is not purely fancy), is it bad? Is there something in feeder mice that snakes may need that a fancy mouse lacks?

You can safely feed your snake any captive bred mouse that is the appropriate size for your snake. The reason you don't want to feed your snake a wild mouse is the possibility of disease and parasites. This should be controlled with any captive bred mouse, so you are safe, and the nutritional value does not vary from one type of mouse to the other, they are all sources of animal protein. You can actually feed your snake any kind of animal that is appropriately sized, and if your boa gets big enough (you didn't give the species), it will eventually graduate to rats and even rabbits - some larger constrictors even eat pigs. It just has to be a source of animal protein that carries a scent the snake is willing to strike at. The problem with feeding fancies is it's a waste of money and they'll eventually break the bank.

Feeder mice and fancy mice are the same species. You can perfectly well have a feeder mouse for a pet. I would hope (but not guarantee) that a breeder of fancy mice would pay more attention to the heredity, health, care and handling of the mice. Since feeder mice are not expected to live long anyway, the breeder may not be concerned about temperament or inbreeding. But if you see a feeder mouse you like, there is no reason not to buy it for a pet. The same goes for rats.

When it comes to what goes into a snake's belly, there's really no difference between the two. Unless you count that the fancy mice are more bred to make better pets and you may have a bit more of an emotional attachment to them. Health and nutrition-wise for the snake, I can not see how there would be any difference.

As every one else has said.
There is no difference between a feeder and a fancy mouse , except they add the name Fancy and $$. I have gotten those that could be marked fancy for feeder price from local breeders.

A rodent is a rodent is a rodent. To the snake, it makes no difference. To the keeper, it's 7 or 8 bucks vs $2.50.
