I think I have a problem with my joints?

I have had a crick in my neck for ages now (since well before Christmas) and when I lie down on my bed on my back, it hurts, like a twingey feeling. And today, when I woke up, I can't properly straighten my arms (like stretching), it hurts so much. Please tell me what's wrong with me, I can't stop thinking about rheumatism and arthritis and stuff... please no nasty and unnecessary comments.

You are suffering from Tetanus disease.

As the bacteria (Clostridium Tetani) grow and multiply, they produce a nerve toxin. Then the toxin binds to nerve endings that normally serve to calm the muscles. In the absence of receiving such calming signals, the muscles contract leading to rigidity and become very sensitive to external inputs, leading to spasms.

Also, you may need to know that the symptoms of tetanus may appear anywhere from two days to six weeks after a wound has been infected, but the typical incubation period is 5 to 10 days.

At this stage, you need to go to a clinic and see a physician. Also when you are there, do ask for the following test along with any other examination which the physician may find suitable for a diagnosis:

-Cerebrospinal Fluid Test (To rule out any cause of brain infection, ie, meningitis or encephalitis)

Nonetheless sooner you take care of your problem, the faster you will get better and also dodge any chances of further deterioration in your health due to this disease.

    Good Health To You!
