What did he mean when he said "let's just forget we ever met"?

Ok it is girls like you that give other girls a bad name. And by that I mean you want to string him along for a saftey net. Not Cool! And Kyle might be the greatest BF right now but what about in 6 months or so, did he stand up for you? Did he open his heart up and lay it out there for you to step on, spit on and then kick it to the curb? No I did not think so!

You need to learn now to be up front with the opposit sex and not use them as a passing musment so to speak. If you want to be just friends say so you know in your heart and they know in their heart nothing will come of any interaction you may have with them.

I am sorry this is jus a cop out casue if Kyle has not come along you would still be hanging out with Austin and if another chick had come along and tried to steal Austin or made a play for him you would be here b!tching that someone stole your man!

I think you can take that statement at face value, almost. He is sorry he met you; he thinks you've been stringing him along. He laid himself open before you, and you didn't even have enough respect for him to tell him that you didn't feel the same. Now he wishes he had never met you, that things could go back to the way they were before you led him on. And I'm sorry, but that is exactly what it looks like and how it must have felt to him. He loved you and was always there for you when you needed a friend, yet he respected you enough not to make a play for you when you were dating someone else. He waited until you broke up with the boyfriend before telling you that he loved you. You responded by giving him your number, and texting back and forth with him. When he continued to tell you how much he loved you, you never one time told him that you didn't feel the same. Then you started dating someone else and ignored him completely. He shouldn't have had to ask why you didn't tell him. You led him on; I'm sorry, but you did. Now he is sorry that he ever met you. Love doesn't just go away over night, but that doesn't mean that he will ever trust you or open himself up to you again, or even want to be your friend. You hurt him, and your only excuse is, "Well I thought you would know or I'm sorry you didn't 'get the memo.'" I feel very bad for him, and if this were him asking this question, I would have to tell him to try not to let it get to him because he deserves better than you. I'm sorry, but it's the truth. If you knew that you didn't feel the same, why did you even give him your number, or why didn't you tell him right then at the very beginning that you could only ever be friends? I think you just liked the idea of having him around drooling over you. Now that he sees you had him in the shadows he isn't having it. I think you know what it means when he said "let's just forget we ever met", he was honest enough to tell you he loved you and you just dismissed it, you should have told him then that you didn't feel the same way.
