Is Walmart doing the American people a favor?
Walmart is laying off 11,200 people, is this a positive for the employees? Walmart is after all a horrible employer that should be unionized. Is this a positive for those being laid off?
I realize that, but all the Liberals talk about what a horrible employer Walmart is.
Dwoodal- Missed the point. But thank you for your response.
I am not for unionizing Walmart. If you want to see what unions do for America call GM,Ford and Chrysler.

if walmart all that bad then why would anyone work there? anyways it's11,200 Sam's Club employees, i know they are part of walmart. there also closing 10 stores and downsizing on some part time workers and here and there,. times are hard, nobody wants to downsize.
hows unions going to help anyone? they only make things worse. and would force the closing of all the stores.

Of course it's not a positive. Being suddenly unemployed is not a good thing for anyone and having thousands more people unemployed is not good for our country's economy. Also, this from the same store that was recently caught destroying and throwing out unsold clothing with the trash instead of donating to charities right down the street..

I don't think unionization would help. They are outsourcing their IT department to India and closing 10 Sam's Club's and warehouses as well as a lab. The American people aren't getting any favors.

Of course it is NOT positive if your laid off, then you have NO job, which means no money for bills. BUT, thats what you have to worry about working for some place like that
Oh, well, at least they have low prices for stuff
