Repair my old PS2 that is not reading discs?
I have and old PS2 (the fat one, not the slim) and it won't read discs I am aware that there are some tricks that can help, I already cleaned the lens directly, it worked perfect on my friends ps2, but mine is something else, it's model no. is SCPH-39001
I you know some link to some good tutorials with a lot of detail and pictures that is what Im looking for, Im aware of the methods but finding an in depth tutorial is a pain.
I know you do things like increasing the laser intensity and some other things, I am looking for some of those tutorials.

It might have gone completely I have a fat PS2 and mine started working when the laser was cleaned but it stopped loading in all together you might need to replace the laser. I think it's better getting another PS2 try taking it in to a repair shop and see what they say.
What is the error your getting is it saying "disc read error" because that's what mine started to say.
