Am I introverted or just shy?

I don't really have any really close friends, but I want them. I don't really do much with people, but I want to. I've had 5 or 6 girlfriends. I'm 16. At school in most classes I'm really quiet, but in some when I'm with people I'm comfortable with, I'm outgoing. I get nervous doing things in front of people, meaning like public speaking. It's weird though. Like, my body is nervous, but my mind is as calm as ever. I don't get rattled, but my body does. I just can't think of things to say to people in public, so it's really awkward. When I'm on the computer, texting, that kinda stuff, it comes easy. I'm very outgoing on those. How can I take it to the real world? I also kinda sweat a lot...it's that body freaking out thing. Like I'm thinking 'why am I sweating? I'm not nervous at all.' but I still do. The deodorant keeps me from stinking, but no antipersperant has been able to stop the sweating yet...

Well, what Confused me the Most, is when you said that you've had 5 or 6 Girl-Friends, and yet your Asking if your an Introvert or just Shy.

After you said That, you began to Describe the Exact way I was in High School!! :)

(Except I Liked Public Speaking a little Better, though...)

And I never had that Sweating problem, BUT I DO sweat when I have to 'Contend' with an Obstacle.

    Here's whats Happening:

Your getting all Uptight about what People might Think of you, and you don't want to sound Stupid.

Your Sub-conscience about what people Think from a Crowd point of view. You Conscience says 'Ok, here we go...', yet you Still are Afraid of crumbling.

That your Not just speaking to your Friends, your Speaking to Everyone, including those who might Criticize you, if you say something they may consider wrong.

Here's what you Need to Do:

You need to 'Laugh if Off'.

Come out with a Smile, a Happy, YaY kind of Smile!

And with Positive Energy with what you Have to Say.

Act like your Talking to a Large Group Friends at a Birthday Party. Pretend that you don't Care what your Critics think. That there Judgment means Nothing! ;)

Just Say what You think is Right!

Even if they Critique you, and give you that Look, like they think your Weird, just Laugh it Off!! :D

Don't take it to Heart - They are only Human, too.

What they are Looking for, is your Weakness. Don't let them make you feel like crap!

    I take it like This-

They either Like you, or they Don't.

And so What if some think your not 'up to their Par'.

Once you show them Confidence with your Positive Attitude, they will at least Respect you! ;)

They can't say Anything Bad about you, if you show them Your Boss of You! ;D

    So in Conclusion:

You are just Shy with people you don't know or Trust. But you don't Have to be, because your Conscience is Clear in your Head. Your Sub-conscience is Changeable over time. ;)

Source(s): Happy Socializing, and Good Luck!! ;)

Stereotypes are for the lazy (no longer meant as a dis on you, btw). as an occasion, one is that tattooed human beings do no longer make plenty money and function crappy jobs. My final question, and that i admit this is partly intentional, helped placed that one to relax. a minimum of one or 2 of the responders are conveniently into 6 figures & maximum had very effective careers (a minimum of those of the age the place such happens). the comparable could be suggested for being an extrovert as against an introvert.
