Please Help how to stop living paycheck to paycheck?
How do you stop living paycheck to paycheck?
I need help desperately, a few things broke down this fortnight (things I need to live) and I had to get a new one and because I am living this way I now own $100 to my name. I can't even afford food or pay bills if they come this fortnight.
The worse thing is I don't know how to get out of this financial rut.
I work full-time, get a basic (low) wage, live out of home so have usual bills to pay dont have cable just internet and phone, mobile. My boyfriend like to go out but obv I can't afford to anymore. I havn't told him about my finances because he would be shocked hes the type that saves his money.
I need to get on top of my finances before I get into serious debt. Luckily I don't own a credit card bec i would be serusly in debt already just have a visa card. I can ask my brother for help but I already owe him 2 thousand and don't want to ask anyone and esp brother for help. I also need 1 thousand to pay of a debt but cant seem to make the payments.
I have looked at my budget but it seems so overwhelming I am spending more then I make. I don't know where to start. Please any tips or advise about how to get on track will be great.
Thanks

If you can not decrease your expenses, you will have to increase you income. That, unfortunately, means getting a second job. I fully realize that that will mean you'll have next to no social life, but a year or two of less personal time will get you out of the hole you're in now. You aren't enjoying yourself anyway at this point because you're spending so much time worrying about your finances.

wow thats a lot to take in. Well first i think you should let your bf know, just tell him whats going on and why u cant afford to go out as much. then maybe have a garage sale, i think giving blood might get you some cash. umm these are just ideas. now try to save most of your paycheck. when i first got my job i saved to get a car so i tried to stay on a budget of $20 a week for food. put off buying clothes or other things that arent too necessary at the moment, maybe let your family also know whats going on, i know u dont want to borrow any more money but if u have to u can borrow from bank and then pay it back, its up to you. thats all i can think of for now. i hope this kinda helps. if u dont want to have yard sale u can seel online from amazon or somehting but i think yard sale would help sell things quicker.
